Guovdageainnu gilišillju – Kautokeino bygdetun is located by the Kautokeinoelva river and is part of RiddoDuottarMuseat, the museum collaboration for the Sami region in Finnmark. It is an open-air museum where older buildings and objects tell the story of daily life, reindeer herding, and craftsmanship in Guovdageaidnu from approximately a hundred years ago. The exhibitions feature Sami art, tools, and duodji, traditional Sami handicrafts, and the museum conveys the living Sami culture that continues to characterize the village. A natural stop for anyone who wants to understand the history of Inner Finnmark and Sami traditions.
