Čávžo Safari is run by a Sámi family in Máze (Masi) in Kautokeino municipality — a small village where nearly all residents are Sámi. Guests are welcomed with open arms for authentic Sámi cultural experiences throughout the year. The signature tour takes you in one of the world's largest Sámi river boats into the famous Sautso canyon in the Alta River, followed by traditional Sámi food in a lavvo — perhaps bidos, a reindeer meat stew, homemade bread, dessert, and coffee.
